What information I collect:

I keep data collection to a minimum. Depending on how you use the site, I may receive your email address, if you subscribe to my newsletter using the form at the bottom of the site; your name, email address and anything you choose to share, if you contact me by email; and technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you visit, which is recorded automatically in the web server's logs.

How I use it:

I use your email address to send you my newsletter, only if you have subscribed. I use messages you send me to reply to you and to discuss possible projects.

Technical information is used to keep the site secure and working, and to understand in general terms how the site is used.

Cookies and third-party services:

The site itself does not set cookies. Videos on this site are embedded from YouTube, which is operated by Google, and are only loaded when you press play. When you play a video, YouTube may set cookies and collect information about you under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. The site is hosted by my web hosting provider, which processes technical data on my behalf.

Sharing your information:

I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with the service providers needed to run the site, such as my web hosting provider, and when required by law.

How long I keep it:

Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Emails you send me are kept for as long as needed to handle your request, and are then deleted or archived.

Your rights:

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how it is used, and to withdraw your consent at any time. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by writing to me. To use any of these rights, email julie@julieloomer.com. This site is not aimed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy:

I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
