As a former VFX artist in the film industry, I spent years creating digital worlds, bringing imagination to life with technology. But after countless hours behind a screen, I felt the pull of something more tactile, personal, and timeless. Rediscovering traditional folk arts has reignited my passion for hands-on creativity, reconnecting me to the raw beauty of handmade crafts and the deep cultural roots they carry. In each brushstroke, weave, or carving, I’ve found a sense of authenticity and joy that technology can’t replicate, blending my modern artistic sensibilities with the rich, soulful traditions of folk art.
My artistic background is highlighted by earning my BFA in 2008 and working in the film industry as illustrator and digital texture and background artist. The high expectation world of film gave me a fantastic foundation for everything I am doing now.
